another day another dinner
hallo alle,
no posting yesterday b/c of a day of utter technological mutiny - the macs here all crashed and we lost a good 1/2 day of work...
stu, iain and brent were perfectly behaved however and didn't freak out a bit - so important in times of crisis. he he he. the whole thing just further reinforces my notion that the whole pc/mac debate is completely moot -
in the meantime, i managed to read barthes' entire 'lover's discourse' which i found insanely difficult, not because of its complexity but rather because of its high emotional content. i feel like i underwent an entire love affair, start to finish, from this very couch, and all in my head...which i found a little disturbing, because it made me wonder whether maybe that's the way it always is. it was very cathartic, however, and i would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone because it's really quite exquisite...
today we're mixing 'bad girl', which i'm really enjoying. it's actually starting to sound like a song again, after having endured severe filular fragmentation. the past few days have been weird for me - mostly spent deconstructing and reassembling various sundered pieces. important to know that when things fall apart something yet remains - the self, perhaps? or: the limit?
blah blah blah,
